In this blog, I am shared my review and thought on the Oppo F29 Pro 5G Gaming Performance Test. After using few days, played heavy games like BGMI, PUBG, Free Fire multiple times and watch many youtubers videos on Oppo F29 Pro 5G gaming test to make a conclusion on this phone. So read this blog before buying this phone as per your requirements.
Oppo F29 Pro 5G Hardware Review as Per Gaming Performance Requirement
Oppo F29 Pro 5G – Display
- It comes with a 6.7-inches quad curved AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling.
- It support HDR10+ content on YouTube, Netflix and others platform. Gives a best viewing experience for gaming and others tasking.
- However, we are not buying only for display. We needs better graphics hardware for gaming, but Mali-G615 MC2 is not good for heavy gaming.
Peak Brightness
- Oppo F29 Pro 5G comes with 1200 nits peak Brightness with 1080 x 2412 pixels resolution, which is good.
- When We play games and doing others task in outdoor the display easily visible.
- So its peak brightness gives better visibility and it enhance your Oppo F29 Pro 5G gaming Performance.
IP Rating
- F29 Pro 5G comes with IP69 rating and MIL-STD-810H certification. it means it has underwater protection, which is best at this price.
- Please don’t try to dropping it into water as it is not cover into warranty.
Weight 185g
- Oppo F29 Pro 5G has very lightweight and slime.
- It come with 185g weight, which is really good. causes 200g more weight is not good for long session gaming.
- When we playing for 1 hour, I do not feel any pain in my hand. you can easily hold for long session gaming.
Dual Speaker
- Oppo F29 Pro 5G has dual stereo speaker with Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision.
- It gives clear and louder sound.
- But it has no 3.5mm headphone jack, you can connect Type-C audio jack or earbuds.
Network connectivity
- F29 pro 5G comes with strong network connectivity, it support 8+ 5G bands, Dual 5g VoNR and Dual 4G bands.
- When we play outdoor games we do not feel any network connectivity issues, it significantly boosted gaming performance.
Wireless Connectivity:
- Bluetooth 5.4 and Wi-Fi 6 work great with no connectivity issues.
- Bluetooth supports AAC, aptX, aptX HD, LDAC connection, providing excellent bass and cleared sound quality.
Oppo F29 Pro 5g – Processor | RAM | Storage | Graphics
- The Oppo F29 Pro 5G runs on MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Energy 4 nm Processor and its antutu score 702343 which is good for casual 60FPS gaming.
- MediaTek Dimensity 8200+ processor gives better gaming performance, high graphics and stability to any mobile phone.
- For smooth BGMI gaming need at least above 7 lakh above score.
- When I tested it, it gave smooth gameplay and a smooth daily use experience.
- Oppo F29 Pro has not any cooling system but it does not feel any heating issues.
- It handle heavy games with medium graphics and high frame rate without frame drop.
- and all social media platform like Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, etc. runs smoothly without any lag.
RAM
- Oppo F29 Pro has LPDDR4X RAM. But at its price, it should use LPDDR5X, and many smartphones use this RAM under 25,000.
- But F29 Pro 5G RAM is optimised for fast app opening, multiple apps background apps running, consumes less energy and smooth user interface, etc.
- For gaming this LPDDDR4X RAM gives casual performance.

Storage
- The F29 Pro 5G has UFS-3.1 storage type, which is good storage and all the smartphone brand use this RAM at this price.
- UFS-3.1 storage score is good.
- good storage gives smooth gameplay and increase smartphone performance.
Oppo F29 Pro 5G- GPU and Touch Snaping Rate
- Oppo F29 Pro 5G has Arm Mali-G615 MC2 GPU with 240Hz Touch sampling Rate
- At this price GPU gives average performance for gaming.
- Good graphics give good gameplay and smooth performance for heavy gaming.
- So this Graphic gives 60fps gameplay.

- Under 30,000 this smartphone gives decent gameplay.
- It means BGMI, PUBG, Free Fire, COD all runs easily runs higher graphics at 60FPS and gives smooth gameplay.
BGMI Gaming Test Setup
We tested BGMI on the Oppo F29 Pro 5G using two graphics settings to evaluate its gaming performance across different settings:
- Graphics Settings: Smooth + Extreme (60 FPS) and HDR + Ultra (40 FPS)
- Session: 1-hour continuous play
- Monitoring Tools: We monitored the real-time FPS meter for checked frame drops, and recorded battery drain and device temperature after 1 hour of continuous gameplay…
BGMI Gameplay
- My F29 Pro 5G delivered impressive performance during a 1-hour BGMI session with smooth + extreme settings.
- This phone maintained a stable frame rate, delivering 58-61 FPS during TDM matches continuously
- And 51 to 57 FPS throughout gameplay on various maps like Erangel, Sanhok, and Livik.
- Bootcamp or Erangle or hot drops place frame rate droop around 45FPS but again instantly maintain it at 55 FPS
- Overall, its BGMI gameplay is good and 12% battery drop after 1 hour of BGMI gaming on the smooth + Extreme setting.
