Recently, Vivo launched its T4 series’ best-performing smartphone, the Vivo T4 Ultra, in India on June 11, 2025. It is a successor to the Vivo T3 Ultra smartphone. The Vivo T4 Ultra is a premium flagship, and its specifications are great, but how does it perform during gaming?

I used this phone for 9 days, and now I show how it performs after playing heavy games and doing heavy tasks. Let’s dive into its gaming test.

The Vivo T4 Ultra is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ 4nm Processor. This chipset is designed for flagship-grade performance, and its antutu score(1961127) describes its 120FPS gaming performance.

When I compared it to its previous generation T3 Ultra smartphone, it has a slightly upgraded chipset and the Vivo T3 Ultra supports 90FPS BGMI, 60FPS COD Mobile and Genshin Impact highest 60FPS.

Honestly, the Dimensity 9300+ processor is well-suited for gaming, as the Vivo T4 Ultra supports only 90FPS BGMI gaming, but via software, it supports 120FPS BGMI gaming, according to the Vivo Support team.

The Call of Duty Mobile supports 60FPS and Genshin Impact’s support highest 60FPS gameplay, delivering smooth performance without major lag.

T4 Ultra Graphics (GPU) and Touch Sampling Rate

Every good gaming smartphone requires good graphics hardware for a better gaming experience, and the T4 Ultra has high performance gaming GPU. The Vivo T4 Ultra is equipped with an Immortalis-G720 MC12 GPU, and its GPU score is 816229, ideal for 120FPS smooth gaming.

And the Vivo T4 Ultra touch response time is excellent, though the exact touch sampling rate isn’t specified, but it works smoothly in-game. However, I don’t feel any touch response issues.

RAM: The Vivo t4 Ultra has 12GB LPDDR5 RAM. Which is good, but this price range LPDDR5X is best for flagship-grade and smooth gaming under the 35-40K price range.

The LPDDR5X RAM consumes less energy, has higher data transfer speed, Faster game loading and smooth gaming compared to LPDDR5 RAM type.

Storage: The Vivo T4 Ultra has UFS 3.1 storage. This type of storage is good for gaming under 25,000, but for this price range, UFS-4.0 storage is better for gaming.

The Vivo T4 Ultra UFS-3.1 storage supports faster data access speed and faster loading times for game opening, like BGMI open in 3 seconds, providing a smooth and more impressive gaming experience.

When I test the Vivo T4 Ultra gaming performance, I use this following parameters:

  • Tested Games: BGMI, Call of Duty Mobile, Free Fire and Genshin Impact.
  • Settings: BGMI (Smooth + 90FPS), CoD Mobile (Low + Ultra 60FPS), Free Fire (Max + 60FPS) and Genshin Impact (High + 60FPS)
  • Metrics Measured: FPS stability, thermal performance, battery drain.
  • Tools Used: FPS monitor apps and a heat gun for temperature checks.

T4 Ultra Gaming Test Environment

When I started the Vivo T4 Ultra gaming test, my room temperature was 32°C with Wi-Fi connectivity. The display brightness was set at 50%, and the phone’s protective case was removed to measure heat dissipation accurately.

  • During my one-hour BGMI session on the Vivo T4 Ultra, I experienced smooth performance with the ‘Smooth + Extreme Plus’ settings, offering 90fps best gameplay with minimum frame drops.
  • This phone maintained a stable frame rate, delivering 89-87 FPS during TDM matches and classics matches delivered 82-89 FPS gameplay on various maps like Erangel, Sanhok, and Livik.
  • My gameplay time occasionally frame rate drop to around 55 FPS, which occurs on the Sanhok map, but the phone quickly recovers to its smooth performance.

Additionally, the battery drain was 18% after 1 hour of play, and the phone remained cool even with the highest settings gameplay, with a max temperature reached of 42°C. Which is excellent.

Overall, my Vivo T4 Ultra delivered outstanding performance in Call of Duty, Free Fire, and Genshin Impact Gameplay without noticeable lag or stuttering.

Vivo T4 Ultra Thermal Management and Throttling Issues

The Vivo T4 Ultra Thermal control was impressive; this phone gets slightly warm but not uncomfortably hot, thanks to its advanced 4363 mm² vapour chamber graphite cooling. However, my Vivo T4 Ultra phone’s gameplay max temperature is 42°C, and COD Mobile’s max temperature is 41.6°C.

  • Every gamer needs a large battery backup phone, so the Vivo T4 Ultra has a 5500 mAh battery. After 1 hour of BGMI Gameplay battery dropped around 18%. which is excellent for gaming.
  • So, you can play around 6 hours of nonstop BGMI gaming and any heavy task easily, with normal tasks like social media use around 9 hours.
  • It comes with 90W fast Charging support. And the charger takes 40-45 minutes, 0%-100% charge. Overall, its battery backup improved compared to the Vivo T3 Ultra smartphone.

The Vivo T4 Ultra has a slim polycarbonate back design (7.5mm thickness) and gives a lightweight feel (192.3g), making it comfortable to hold for extended gaming sessions. Overall, it is a good design for gamers.

The Vivo T4 Ultra offers a high-quality display for gaming. It features a 6.67-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 60 to 120Hz adaptive refresh rate for smooth visuals and quick touch responsiveness.

And its peak brightness is 5000 nits, making it very easy to view even in bright sunlight. But you spend a long time on gaming, the Vivo T4 Ultra has SGS low blue light certification, and Shield Glass protection, adding additional durability and comfort for gamers.

Audio Quality

The Vivo T4 Ultra delivers impressive audio quality for gaming. It has dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support that provide clear, loud, and immersive sounds. However, a 3.5mm headphone jack is not available; you can use earbuds or a Type-C audio jack for better audio.

Network Connectivity

During our long gaming session, my Vivo T4 Ultra’s strong network and 5G VoNR capabilities significantly boosted gaming performance. Its Bluetooth v5.4 and Wi-Fi 6E work great with no connectivity issues. Bluetooth supports A2DP and LE connection, providing excellent bass and clear sound quality.

My final recommendation is that you need a good camera and top-level gaming performance with strong build quality and a large, bright display. The vivo T4 Ultra is one of the best options for you.
